I was first introduced to warm jello on a fall hike in Appalachia back in 1981. It was one of the highlights of a grueling cold hike. The hiker that shared it with the group placed the warm balgene bottle in a wool sock to insulate it from the cold. I am ever thankful for his sharing this treat which was quite a moral booster.

It really is so comforting. You generally do need similar things when you're sick, or trapped outside in a snowstorm :).

Cool Jeff! Thanks for sharing. We were soaking our feet in an impressively cold creek this weekend that would have been perfect for this recipe.
