Insider Information

  1. Find a space away from the masses of RV’s, but also keep in mind how close you are to trails.
  2. Most of the trails and roads are mild, but be weary of any vehicles that do not have four-wheel drive and/or high clearance. They can probably make it to camp if you camp close to the highway, but shouldn’t be taken on your explorations.
Travel in a group of at least two vehicles if possible. If you get stuck, you will want aid or at least an escape plan.
  3. Wind is a common occurance in the desert, especially during colder months, and you will get little shelter from it in this area. Bring good wind protection, and be careful with fires, which should only be made in a freestanding fire pit that you bring with you.
  4. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics, even though there are less rules and regulations in this area. Please dispose of all waste properly.
