- 2 slices cinnamon raisin bread
- 1 tablespoon butter
- several thin slices of apple
- 1-2 slices sharp cheddar cheese
Tools
- Knife
- Pie iron
- Plate
Method
Note: This recipe is written for one serving, because that’s how much you can make at a time, so feel free to scale based on the number of people that you have.
- Preheat the pie iron for about 2 minutes.
- Butter one side of a slice of bread. Top the slice (the side that’s not buttered) with some of the cheddar, apple slices, and more cheddar. Place the other slice of bread on top, and spread with butter.
- Carefully place the sandwich in the pie iron and close it. Place the pie iron back in the fire for a minute or two, flip to the other side and cook for another minute or two. Your sandwich is done when the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
