Arugula and Corn Salad Pasta
It’s climbing season again, yipee! If you follow us on Instagram, you may know that I have an actual climbing goal this season- to finish the infamous “Gunsmoke.” Continue reading “Arugula and Corn Salad Pasta”
Dutch Oven Green Bean Fries
Frying is a pain, no matter where you’re doing it. It uses a ton of oil (that you have to figure out how to dispose of), makes the house smell like a fast food restaurant, and encourages owning big uni-purpose machines to avoid too much hassle. Continue reading “Dutch Oven Green Bean Fries”
Vanilla Cider Cocktail
There are quite a few things worth being outside at night for during the fall and winter months. Halloween is a nighttime holiday. The Leonid meteor shower is in November. Continue reading “Vanilla Cider Cocktail”
Muhammara Dip

Falafel Sandwiches

Luckily, our “no plan plan” paid off, and the nice Canadian park rangers were able to set us up for an incredible couple days in the backcountry. Continue reading “Yoho Lake”
Backpacking French Toast
Ever since I moved away from my best friend in Florida to go west, we’ve talked about meeting up in a cool place halfway between us for an adventure. Continue reading “Backpacking French Toast”
Eggs in the Backcountry
I recently purchased a dehydrator, and have been getting more daring in my recipes. Most people I’ve spoken to mainly use their dehydrators for camping recipes like jerky and dried fruits and vegetables. Continue reading “Eggs in the Backcountry”
Campfire Smoked Trout
Our friend Adan (otherwise known as “Tallkan,” if you want to follow his adventures on Instagram) is on his yearly traditional trip to June Lake right now. We’re jealous. Continue reading “Campfire Smoked Trout”
